When Jo Hatch returns to her hometown in Illinois, she discovers her mom’s newly-built house is a disaster.  Outraged, she confronts the builder, only to find it’s her best friend from high school, Cam Pierce.

Cam, now a single father, confirms the poor construction and agrees to investigate.  However, a hit-and-run interrupts his plans, and Jo becomes his bodyguard.

As they reconnect, Jo’s old feelings for Cam resurface, but she’s determined not to settle for a fling.  With a mysterious past employee, Don Kincaid, in the mix, Jo unravels a dangerous conspiracy.

As she gets closer to the truth, a bomb threat puts their lives in jeopardy.  Can Jo save Cam and find love amidst the chaos, or will they face a tragic end like Cam’s late wife?
